With nearly 30 years of experience within the funeral service industry we have seen many changes.

 

We think the greatest by far is the acceptance of simple, direct funerals. In the last year, they have accounted for 18% of funerals in England & Wales, up from under 5% before Covid. More people have decided it’s the choice for themselves or for their loved ones.

 

At Simply Direct Cremation we offer a funeral service that is dignified, discreet and cheaper than the traditional alternatives. Some people just don’t like funerals, some want to make life easier for their family, some want to save money, others want a separate remembrance service or memorial on a different date or in a different country. These are all valid reasons for having a simple, direct cremation.

 

A Simply Direct cremation is a simple way of arranging a funeral without fuss, ceremony or unnecessary expense, that is unattended by family & friends, but with a level of care that is above and beyond the norm. We email or post any necessary documents to you and you do the same in return. Any jewellery or personal items are removed and returned to the next of kin.

 

The cremated remains will usually be returned to us within a week and these can be scattered at the crematorium with or without witness, from one of our offices or we can deliver them to you.
